As I have some time of quiet reflection in Phnom Penh (nearly
8,500 miles away from Phoenix) I wanted take a moment to express my gratitude
to the Maricopa County Head Start Zero-Five Program Staff and the Human Services
Department for allowing me this incredible opportunity to experience Cambodia.
I also want to recognize and thank the Policy Council for their leadership and
support. In my time here I have tried to share the passion, enthusiasm, and
wisdom that you all have; and tried to be a good ambassador of you in this foreign
place.
Even though I am absent from this month’s meeting I wish to tell you
that I am thinking of you. I am learning so much here and both my heart and my
mind are being deepened and sharpened in a way that will make me a better
person; a better leader. I look forward to seeing you next month. All the best
to you, Dennis
